Lions and Tigers and Bears! Oh My! And don’t forget the Zebras! Our Little Wooden Doll is going to the Cincinnati Zoo today and she will mix in rather well with those striped animals!

LWD is wearing her animal stripe dress of blacks, whites and grays. And even if she does blend in with the ‘scenery’, she knows that she and her family will have a lot of fun!

Whether it is the monkeys on Monkey Island, the polar bears entertaining and keeping cool in their lagoon, or the eagles soaring above in their aerie, she loves them all!

Sunday’s Dress: our Little Wooden Doll is going to church with her family this warm Sunday.She is wearing her absolute favorite summertime frock!

Lazy Day!

Lazy Day! Our Little Wooden Doll and her best friend will share this day together. What will they do all day? Mostly they are going to sit on the swing on the front porch! Even if it rains, they will be protected.

They will bring out their dolls and doll houses and just have a wonderful day! Since they both just got new library books too, I bet they spend the late afternoon reading and swinging!

And no doubt, LWD’s mom will fix a delicious lunch for them too! Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches just taste better when you have a friend to share!

Orange Sherbet!

Orange Sherbet! Our Little Wooden Doll is excited about going to the ice cream parlor today with her friends. Her favorite ice cream is indeed orange sherbet and she will enjoy two big dips in a cake cone!

Orange is the color theme for today’s little dress: an a-line skirt of orange and white seersucker fabric and a little white shirt.

Can you see the small white heart on the skirt?That is LWD’s favorite part of the outfit!

Bandana Dress

Our Little Wooden Doll is wearing a fun little dress – all made up from bandana fabric! She always gets lots of compliments when she wears it – so it is a definite favorite.

Where is she going? Her mom is taking her to the city park to feed the geese and ducks. She will need to bring lots of bread!!! And with this heat, maybe she will stick her feet in the cool waters?

Hope You Had A Happy Fourth Of July

Our Little Wooden Doll and her family went early to get good seats to watch the big parade! Fire trucks, marching bands, veterans, antique cars, politicians (!), and lots of decorated kids and their bikes were all part of it!

She wore her patriotic red, white and blue short dress, which kept her quite cool on a very hot Independence Day!

Fireworks!

Little Wooden Dolls and her family all headed down to the river on the Fourth of July for a fireworks show! It was spectacular and went on for a very long time. Lots of “oohs” and “aahs” and the brilliant displays lit up the skies on the Ohio River!

She wore her own little fireworks dress – a white skirt with a red bodice; on the skirt there are red, silver and blue stars!

It’s good to be an American citizen!
