It's Cherry Picking Time!

It’s Cherry Picking Time! Our Little Wooden Doll and her family are headed to the orchards today! They are bringing their baskets to fill with cherries – bright red cherries and black cherries too! So, appropriately, LWD decided to wear her ‘cherry’ dress with the lace borders.

Late this afternoon they will clean all the fruit, get rid of the nasty old pits and start baking some cherry pies! They might save a few to make chocolate covered cherries for her dad!

Sounds delicious and also great fun!

Lazy Day!

Lazy Day! Our Little Wooden Doll and her best friend will share this day together. What will they do all day? Mostly they are going to sit on the swing on the front porch! Even if it rains, they will be protected.

They will bring out their dolls and doll houses and just have a wonderful day! Since they both just got new library books too, I bet they spend the late afternoon reading and swinging!

And no doubt, LWD’s mom will fix a delicious lunch for them too! Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches just taste better when you have a friend to share!

Fireworks!

Little Wooden Dolls and her family all headed down to the river on the Fourth of July for a fireworks show! It was spectacular and went on for a very long time. Lots of “oohs” and “aahs” and the brilliant displays lit up the skies on the Ohio River!

She wore her own little fireworks dress – a white skirt with a red bodice; on the skirt there are red, silver and blue stars!

It’s good to be an American citizen!
